In Spring 2016, Northeastern University students Ruby Khan and Mindi Chen identified a need for a student-led impact investment organization on campus. They envisioned a club that would raise student awareness of the impact investing space and provide club members with resources and information to engage with the various impact investment and social change initiatives happening in and around Northeastern.
Two years later, NUImpact is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after groups on campus that engages students and stakeholders with events, speakers, professional opportunities, and a variety of cross-campus collaborations. We at NUImpact seek to empower everyone at Northeastern who wants to use the tools of finance to make a positive difference in a variety of social and environmental issues.
With the support of Mosaic leaders Dan Gregory and Greg Dalle-Molle, NUImpact has built a strong platform for students to engage in impact investing early on in their careers. Every semester, our ten-person management team develops programming to engage Northeastern’s community of social changemakers. Through strong partnerships with Center for Financial Independence's Thrive and other on-campus groups, we have educated and engaged students in personal finance, sustainable energy, social entrepreneurship, and impact measurement.
At this juncture in our growth, we invite you to to discuss ideas, opportunities, and collaborations with us. With support and encouragement from you, NUImpact can evolve to provide even more opportunities to students and stakeholders with renewed energy and greater commitment
